The national and international media has seen our Ministers do the
following:a)Fransisco Sardinha try to legislate the sport of Bull fighting b)
Our CM and Shantaram Naik blame foreign tourists being raped for loose morals
whilst our Tourism Minister openly disagrees, stuttering and stammering on
TV c) Alexio Lourenco in the present Assembly is trying to introduce a Bill to
amend the Constitution to nullify the Sound Pollution Rules d) We proliferate
Casinos, encourage nightlife, live in denial of drugs freely
vailable,Pedophilia and Homosexual tourism etc whilst our bumbling police has
come in for heavy criticism by everyone without exception featuring on the
various talk shows on this subject! I do not see a Police Bil up for discussion
in the Assembly! No comment from the Home Minister and our Chief Minister is
letting every minister to be a law unto himself.
Isn't it high time to get our house in order , stop advertising Goa as a land
for Fun,Feni and a place where anything goes? Where rules exist to be easily
circumvented? Why not put in place clear laws and rules, prominently
displayed,on acceptable behaviour for foreigners and locals, so that all are
aware of limits which will be enforced strictly and competently,without
political or vested interest interference.Let us hurry to rectify Goa's sullied
name.
