Just returned from a long holiday. My thoughts - When we first arrived in New Zealand 35 years ago and heard people working on the Cruise Ships use the word 'Goanese'.... ....Goan residents here frowned and I still remember a friend (since expired) saying "Those from Samoa are Samoans so those from Goa are Goans". Hence we can conclude those from China are Chinese, Japan - Japanese, Vietnam - Vietnamese but those from Korea are Koreans etc.
