Happy New Year Twenty-Ten

Dear Goans, friends and well-wishers,
We at Goa Su-Raj wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2010 with a
difference.
Let us not pre-occupy ourselves with SAVING OUR GOA, though the year 2009
was a trying one.
Instead, let us try and be willing to come to her rescue from the many a
unfriendly and vested hands that are poisoning it and turning it into a
monster. In so doing, we shall have singularly and severally SAVED her from
being a ferrocious mother that will not care for its people.
Goa had it made when its people joined hands to put their faith in a
movement of movements since the great Opinion Poll... the GBA. In spite of
its doubtless and above board, honourable intensions, Goa's enemies didn't
allow it to fruitfully carry out its mandate. Such set-backs are
back-breaking, but we must persevere, since it is our only hope of uniting
Goa on a one point agenda - the OPERATION RESCUE. Having learnt from past
mistakes, we need to forge ahead under the banner of a renewed people's
movement that shall very strongly believe in the power of the democratic
VOTE, for, sanity must prevail where madness abounds.
We, at Goa Su-Raj, are very much at home propagating the above message
after a decade of existence. We are happy to say that no compromises have
been made on the original ideals which put this politically potent movement
into being, and, we are determined not to allow short-term gains to impede
our sight of a UNITED Goa.
We must endeavour to sink our differences when making our choices, as we
acutely need numbers inorder that 'divided we do not fall'. Politics is the
only thing that we have, to which we can look up to, if we want our
aspirations and our dreams delivered. Let us, therefore, join as one, to
shore up 'good, effective and ethically sound politics' which will brighten
our lives and that of our posterity. This onerous task rests with us, so let
us forgive and forget, let us pick up the rags of the spent fights and march
ahead, undeterred, in the understanding that hope is not all lost.
