Happy New Year Twenty-Ten

I was moved by Dr. Francisco Colaco's song tribute to his son. It was
beautifully sung and the musical accompaniment was touching as well.
I had the privilege of seeing Dr. Colaco's Mando dance presentation in
Panaji in 2007. He is talented Goan spirit who did not withdraw into
his grief over losing such a young, handsome son in a bike accident.
Instead he has dedicated himself to his own medical practice as well
as to the preservation of Goan heritage and culture. He has been the
driving force behind the NGO Goenkarachea Daiz (Goan Heritage) which has
fought to keep alive Goan values and Goan heritage.
Now he has given us a beautiful song, full of imagination and hope. it
left me feeling very positive and hopeful. Dr. Colaco is an inspiration
to all of us Goans!
