It is not only on Goanet that one reads about anti NRG attitude. The hardcopy
dinosaur media in Goa also publishes that if you are Portuguese national you
are a traitor, if you from the gulf it is gulfie something and so on. This
stems from the regime in power and their media mouthpieces. For decades they
have churning out this kind of bile.

On can not imagine what would have been of Goa without the gulf person. The
billions worth of remittances they have sent to Goa to prop the indian economy.
Has any good been written about them. They have to live in harsh surroundings
far from being cosy. During the gulf war many had to fend for themselves. Now
because of worsening governance in Goa many are looking westwards. Many want
the good of Goa. Many have donated huge amounts for charitable works.

I remember half a dozen years ago Goacom forum members dug in for a charitable
cause . Jose Lourenco helped to distribute the money and in his own
words expressed surprise at the amount of disparity that still existed in the
Animal Farm. Solid donations have also come from Goancauses and I believe that
many others are also involved in philanthropy.

Goa will sink if there is no unity among hindus and catholics or NRG's and
GRG's on a platform that looks towards the UN (resoultions of 61 + revoking the
accord of 75) for governance for a new and better future.
