electricity pole.

The IGP's son may be arrested, if required, for driving police car without
authorisation, DGP B S Bassi told reporters here.

"The case is under investigation and if required we will arrest and charge
sheet him," Bassi said.

As per the case registered with Vasco police, Siddharth rammed IGP's official
car and hit it against an electric pole in December last. The accused was
reportedly traveling with his friends including power minister Aleixo Sequira's
son.

The incident had occurred during wee hours when the group of youngsters was
returning from a pub at Vasco owned by a former Congress legislator.

The IGP in his statement to the Department had said his son took the car
without informing him.

The Vasco police had registered a case of rash and negligent driving against
Siddharth.
