Arwins Reponse to Mr. Cip Fernandes Cip Fernandes Land: - Any Indian citizen as well as Overseas Citizens of India are allowed to buy land in Goa as well as almost in any part of India. - Who can stop them buying land in Goa, India? - On what grounds the transfer of Sale of Land in Goa could be legally stopped or not registered? - Jai Hind! Why the seller (Bhatkars) should not accept the best price offered to their land? - What legislation the Goa Government has or can have to stop Sale of Land to non-Goans? -?Are elected MLAs are capable to bring in any such legislations? Arwin's Response: Thats why many are calling for Special Status as some other Indian States; This was also promised by the parties in the last election. Legislators will be forced to address it if Goans demand for it; is ths not what Democracy is all about? Also Goans were never party to the formation of the Indian Constitution. Also Land Sales to non-Goans must be controlled; surely we appreciate that Capitalism cannot supersede the supreme interests of the Society; for example why are there controls on food essentials today; what would happen if this was at the mercy of Capitalism.
Construction Licence: - If a developer of a Maga Housing?Project?has submitted the Plans for approval to any Panchyat to obtain a construction license with all the required documents by a non-Goan or by a foreign registered companies - can?any Panchayat or any other Goa Government authorities?reject the proposed Mega Housing Project? If so, on what grounds? Arwin's Response: If one looks at majority of the mega-projects approved in Goa today; most have bypassed laws and regulations with the support of corrupt politicians. The specific panchayat bodies are enthusiaically supporting these illegal mega projects as else they will not realise their rewards!! Also these Mega-Projects can be stopped on grounds of lack of infrastructure i.e. electricity, water, garbage facilities. improper sewerage and people can approach the Courts on this matter as the government is in-sensitive for obvious corrupt reasons!! Politicians & Corruption: Who elects the corrupt politicians again and again and again? It appears that the majority of Goan?electors are corrupt, therefore?electing the corrupt politicians again and again for one reason or an another. Arwin's Response: This I agree Goa will become worse: day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year unless and until majority of Goan electors change themselves for better. Arwin's Response: Some of us are trying to make things better via words/action instead of just complaining; Please join us. Jai Hind!
