Bicholim police on Monday arrested one Lavu alias Laksha Pethkar(33) from Desainagar Sanquelim in connection with molestation and assault on a 19 year old girl. According to Bicholim police, accused used to tease and defame a 19 year old girl and her friend from Desainagar sanquelim. On Sunday the accused repeated the same thing in the morning due to which the girl and her friend decided to report this matter before his wife and accordingly they narrated the incident to his wife. Enraged with the incident the accused in the fit of anger blocked the way of the girl while she was returning from the office on Sunday. Laksha questioned the girl as to why she had to complain to his wife and also started to give bad words.The accuse later started slapping the girl and also tired to hold her. He also threatened her to kill. In the scuffle the girl fell down and the accuse also hit her on her abdomen. The girl started shouting and hearing this some of the friends of the accuse after pacifying him took him away. As per the medical report the girl suffered injuries on her face, abdomen the leg. The accuse also bit the right leg of the girl. The complaint was lodged by the girl late at night against the accused who absconded from the house but later arrested by police under section 354, 323, 504, 506 and 324 of IPC.
