JoeGoaUk (Jan 19 ) asks '' Devache Munxeamche ami umao ghetat gai ? ( Do we now kiss hands of the priests as we used to do in olden times? ) Salus Correia (Jan 21 ) replies: We used to neither because we ''assumed priest was holy'' nor because we '' considered priest as God'' but because ''those hands are blessed, holding the consecrated host each day,(hence) they are holy receptacles which hold the body of our God while on the altar''. (So) ''We are kissing a holy receptacle and not the actual hands of a priest''
AM is perplexed: So hands are blessed and become holy receptacle. Are not hands a projection of brain power or controlled by brain ? If a brain is polluted by ideas of casteism, can the hands remain pure and hence be a holy receptacle of God?
