Albert writes:- Many of us simply make noise without knowing anything legally.
Many of us are shouting from roof top that church property has been sold. I
raised a question earlier but none had time to reply. Church property does not
belong to parishioners. It belongs to the society under which all the church
property is registered. Parishioners foolishly lavish donations to the church .
The church building, the property given to the church, and the cemetry is not
yours. So the society can take a decision at their general body meeting and
sell. Who are the parishioners to question ? I had asked for the list of
members of this society on this goanet at least ten times but no one has guts
to disclose the list. Not even the president of this society. Because if they
disclose the list I am sure the parishioners will realise that they are simply
throwing out money to ......(let the members of the society chose the type of
name they want themselves to be called.) If at all the church is allowing you
to be burried they are doing you a favour. But what I cannot understand is when
something does not belong to us why should we repair, construct, something that
does not belong to us like the people of Mapuca were forced to donate a sum of
I think nearly more than a crore to build a huge palace for the kings of Mapuca
.
