Hi All, I received the following via a friend in St. Louis. It has to do with only the first four letters in the abecedarium (abagada/abugida), appear in the the spellings of English counting. Those of you who may have encountered this earlier--do please bear with the intrusion.

The letter '*d*' comes for the first time in “Hundred.” Letters '*a*', '*b*' '*c'* do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 999. The letter '*a*' comes for the first time in “Thousand.” Letters '*b*' '*c*' do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 999,999,999.
