Will Mathany be the CRZ slayer ?
Mr. Mathany Saldanha, must have just woken from his sleep, it's been more than a month since the demolitions started, and there was no sign of Mathany till now, why ? Is he only fighting for the people of Velsao ? Are there no toddy tapers and fisher folks in Canacona and other places ? The villagers of Khola were the only people who were protesting against this act of inhumanity against the poor coastal Goans, but as it is said batter late than never, we are with you Mr. Mathany Saldanha. If the government wants violence, so be it. Power of the people to the fore. Lets kick some ass !!! The pre election promises are not binding as the pre nuptial agreements. Today everything has to be put on paper or it's hearsay, it's not like the days of yore, when a person was bound by his word and only death could "call it off" and even then the heirs would fulfill the obligations out of good will. Today even signed documents are turned and twisted by the black coats and one is left with nothing but a worthless piece of paper. Promises are meant to be broken is the mantra followed by our corrupt politicians. Sonia Gandhi came, she made her promises, Jairam Ramesh came and he made his promises and our own CM and his cartel had made umpteen promises even while the entourage of stooges covered most of coastal Goa in just 24 hrs, with our esteemed environment minister. All this happened before the election, after the election as usual, Goans got the "tenga", the gullibility of Goans is exposed, the elite promise and we wet our pants. CRZ is nothing but a scam, to facilitate and invigorate the five star hotel industry in Goa while Goans are made homeless and harassed in their own home land. Our politicians are not at all interested in the wellbeing and problems of the common man, they are only interested in enhancing their own wealth by whatever means. In some states where CRZ is applicable the local government has safeguarded people's dwellings by legal means, so why did the Goa government not react strongly to this acrimonious notification, to save the dwellings of the poor coastal Goans ? Hope Mr. Mathany Saldanha will lead this fight against CRZ and force the government to stop further demolitions of the dwellings of poor coastal Goans. Today costal Goans are being driven out of their own homes, to facilitate hotels and mega housing, tomorrow Goans from the mining belts will be driven out to facilitate rampant mining, will they stop at that ? I don't think so, Goans unite and fight to restore your dignity and your right to your dwelling.
