That's what they said last year too, when the US had a sneeze.  

So far, the housing prices are rising, the building industry is still in boom, 
but the infrastructure, under a useless "talk-only no walk" labour govt, is 
about to collapse. 

On water avalability, we have been fortunate that the rains were aplenty this 
year, and the water levels this year appear to be following the trend of 2007.

In addition, people have started installing rain-catchment water tanks, after 
restrictions against their use were lifted once the utilities were privatised 
(funny isn't it?).  Still, the govt is building a resource-hungry desal plant 
instead of buidling another dam to accomodate the needs of a rapid growth in 
population and housing, and we are facing steep increases in water bills to 
finance this.
