Panjim Sports Carnival committee is the representative Body of 5 different Clubs namely Panjim Badminton Club, Panjim Table Tennis Club, Panjim Sports and Cultural Club, Chess Activity Centre and JCI St. Inez.
It has been formed recently with the following aims and objectives: 1. To promote Sports as an attractive proposition in the backdrop of music, fun and entertainment. 2. To give opportunities to school children to exhibit their sporting and creative skills and talents. 3. To promote sporting activities in which Goa has the potential strength and infrastructure to excel. 4. To promote Goan cultures and traditions and to create a spirit of communal harmony amongst children through the channel of sports. Secretary - Sandeep Heble, Treasurer - Shrikant Barve, Vice Presidents - Sarfraz Sheikh and Rupesh Golatkar, Directors - Ajit Ghantker, Shashant Naik, Sanjay Barve and Ramesh Naik International Year of the Youth and Carnival Celebrations 2010 has been declared as the International Year of the Youth. Knowing the importance of promoting Sports among children and providing opportunity for them to effectively compete and grow, Panjim Sports Carnival committee will mark the Youth Year and the occasion of Carnival by organizing a Sports Carnival, the details of which are as follows: Programme: Sports Carnival for School Children up to Std X Events: Chess, Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom, Child Art and Essay Venue : Indoor Stadium Campal-Panaji Date: 14 February 2010 Appeal Panjim Sports Carnival committee will be able to meet its aims, objectives and mission parameters with the gracious support from its well-wishers and citizens.
