I strongly believe that one should never hesitate to openly speak out one’s thoughts on any issue one is convinced of. No injustice to anyone should be ever tolerated. Moresoever when it is meted out to Goa’s senior most judge Mrs.’s Anuja Prabhudesai, a person of an outstanding caliber and impeccable integrity.
When a retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court speaks about the prevailing corruption in the Judiciary nothing should bar an advocate from expressing his opinion on a cooked up disciplinary action against a judge. I have spoken out on the malafied suspension of Mrs. Anuja Prabhudesai with conviction while also taking a personal decision not to appear before her once she is reinstated. Though I have highlighted the injustice against her as a citizen, it would be improper for me to appear before her as an advocate in view of the very high standards of professional conduct and etiquette that the legal profession demands.
