Were this year's traffic jams in Panjim for Carnival far worse than in earlier years? Did the others who came for the parade feel likewise (or was it only me)? If so, was there some foul-up in planning the route? The riverfront road had been divided in two, with the floats on the riverside and traffic permitted in the other lane. In theory, a good idea... till everything got clogged, and it took an hour or more to traverse two kms!
