March 19 is the feast of St Joseph. St Joseph was the patron Saint of the Dr.
Ribeiro Goan School in Nairobi Kenya. The School was a pioneer and principal
centre of learning in Kenya for Goans of every strata of life. It churned out
many Goan personalities in various fields and was an institution dedicated to
excellence in the field of education. The feast of St Joseph was celebrated
annually, and each and every child who attended the school participated. For a
very nominal fee, the school provide some snacks and a pop and although all
students were present on that day, Lessons were suspended and a Soccer game
between Bardez and Salcete was played on the schools Grounds. I wish to take
this opportunity to wish all Ex Students of the school a Happy Feast. I wish we
could arrange a get together in Toronto where there are several Ex Students to
celebrate the feast and to reminisce about the good old days.

Regards......
Manuel ( Eddie) Tavares.
