Hi Mariano, Sigrid Pfeffer [http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01308.html] is currently working on the task and, in my opinion, doing a good job. Being a professional sound recordist, she is good at her job. Hence the focus on LPs and records rather than lower-quality MP3s.
But the long-term goal is also to preserve this music and ensure that it survives the test of time. Rather than 'disposing' or selling off these records (wherever available) it would be best if they could be protected and preserved for the future generations. Of course, the minefield of copyright and permissions needs to be gone through before reproduction and replication can be thought of. An appeal to all: please take care of any old records if you have them... on day this might be the only link to Konkani cataram's musical past.
