This sentence is not enough to make any head or tail of what has been said
and why, in the assembly today. But the above coming from Manohar Parrikar
is a bit distasteful at this time because he was the one ( remember the
Ad-HOC committee deliberations?) who wanted to castrate Sebastian Rodrigues
(GSRP Life Member, present on a sponsored trip to discuss world
environmental issues at Helsinki in Finland) as a Naxalite mainly because
Seby was exposing illegal mining ( Colamb in Sanguem) when the agitators
were beaten up by the police and put behind bars at aguada jail, men women
and children ( Cheryl, her old mother and her 11 year old girl) for
protesting against illegal mining in their backyard.
It must be remembered that Seby is facing a court case worth crores of
rupees in defamation filed by Sujay Gupta of Fomento Mining in the Kolkata
High Court.
Perhaps Manohar Parrikar has changed his platform from supporting illegal
mining to that of non-supporting illegal mining. Perhaps the Goa BJP does no
longer need the funds to move into a more posher office than the one
purchased at the Nova Goa, Panjim, off the 'One time settlement' bonanza.
The whole world has known about the illegal mining-police-politician nexus,
especially the Quepem police station having been the door-mat for the
nexus.
Crocodile tears by Manohar Porrikar at this state in the assembly is just a
big show for utter public consumption and to boost its floored image, I
strongly feel.
Isn't Goa tired of these AC/DC MLAs???? Why cannot they be consistent in
what they say and in what they do?
Perhaps Mr. Praxy Fernandes hasn't been altogether wrong in wanting these
Judases crucified once and for all ( Letter to editor - Herald- 23.03.2010)

It is not ENOUGH that GOOD n HONEST persons contest elections.

Wherein, even a dishonest person is forced to be honest or to QUIT.

accepted.
