The world will switch of their lights for one hour and consume ten times
more energy in the next hour. These very people will cheer hydel
projects for electricity in environmentally sensitive zones claiming it
is a necessary evil. All hypocricy. This is not aimed at the youngsters
who are not to blame.

Thanks to a team of young teenagers (with support from some seniors),
World Earth Day was observed at Lourdes Convent, Saligao. When the
guitars were out, and the event was held at a more relaxed hour... there
was a good turnout indeed!
