‘Pez’ was once our one of the main staple foods (3 meals)
Around 10.30am was the time.
It went well with ‘Attoilo Koddi’ (yesterday’s thickened Curry)
Other popular accompaniments were..
Kharem (Salt Fish)
Miskutt (Pickle)
Amble Tor (Pickled raw mango)
Katlecho (Coconut dices) etc

Peje Burkulo (Earthen pot to cook/boil rice/pez)
Peje Pollgo (another portable pot for Pez- on to the table, to the fields etc)
Peje Doulo (Coconut Shell Spoon/ ladle )
Peje Kanso or Canso (bowl to eat Pez of ceramic etc)
Peje Mattul or Maittul (Earthen bowl) –
Xirdona or ‘Jez-nodrem’ Pejechem fest 11/4/10 or the sundey after easter.
Pez is no longer form part of our daily meals now.
We now cook pez when we are sick (Zor, fever, temperature)
And off course , on Good Friday or Nimanno Sunkrar ( Pez on Ash Wednesday
‘Xinje Budvar’ slowly vanishing).
