The Goa Su-Raj Party is with the families and friends of the 76 CRPF Jawans
who have lost their lives in the yesterday's exchange with the
Maoists/Naxalites in Chhattisgarh/Jharkhand.
This Party feels that the blame must be squarely owned by the Union Home
Ministry. As such, the Union Home Minister, Mr. P.C. Chidambaram must
resign forthwith. The CRPF platoon had no business to go into the known
guerilla territory unplanned and unprepared. The Union Home Ministry is
responsible for the murders of these Jawans and hence the Union Home
Minister, instead of showing his sorry face and giving sorry excuses, must
exit.
The Goa Su-Raj Party is surprised that none of the opposition parties have
demanded the resignation of the Union Home Minister Mr. PC Chidambaram.
This nation has cultivated a thick-skin attitude where anything goes and the
leading players get away scot free by showing sorry faces when they should
be kicked out in cases like these.
The Indian Government must realize that it is fighting its own people and
not the enemy across the borders. It cannot treat the Maoists and Naxalites
as the enemy territory. If at all this has become the enemy territory, it is
because the Indian government has been insensitive and utterly irresponsible
in signing MOU's with expansionist Corporate Houses left right and centre
to destroy the eco-friendly habitats of the people and displace them from
their own lands. The result is that the people have chosen to fight their
own government for their shallow money making policies which has not an
iota of consideration for them and their livelihoods.
The Goa Su-Raj Party warns the Central Government against using the
country's Army and the Air Force against its own people. If this sad
decision is agreed upon, then the entire country will be drawn into a civil
war which no one will win but the country destroyed. Because, fighting
against the enemy across the border is one thing and fighting against one's
own people is another thing altogether. No people who pay their taxes and
keep their governments afloat will tolerate policies that inundates their
very homelands, their villages and their lives in lieu of money from the
corporate marauders. Change your policies and there will be no Maoists and
no Naxalites.
The Goa Su-Raj Party also offers a timely warning to the Goa Government as
well as the Central government to be careful with what policies they are
following vis a vis INDISCRIMINATE MINING in Goa. If they are not careful,
Goa too will be turned into a worst Maoist and Naxalite state. In the end
the people of the state are bound to win, keeping in mind the French
Revolution. Heed you must to the warning that ' THE STATE CAN FIGHT THE
OUTSIDE ENEMY BECAUSE THE PEOPLE ARE WITH THE STATE. THE REVERSE IS AN UTTER
STUPIDY BECAUSE NO STATE CAN AFFORD TO FIGHT AGAINST ITS OWN PEOPLE.
Political sanity means 'The People must get their dues thorough good
governance as well as the due respect they deserve'. If this is missing, you
get Maoists and Naxalites.
This party commends the Indian Air Force for speaking against using air
power against the own people.
It is hoped that better sense will prevail and the Prime Minister Mr.
Manmohan Singh will consider the options with due diligence. Fifty per cent
of the problems will be solved when P.C. Chidambaram tenders his
resignation, immediately, and the other fifty per cent as and when all the
standing MOU's for development with Corporate Houses cancelled out-right
before any meaningful dialogue is engaged-in with the leadership of the
affected peoples of this country, including GOA.
