Short Story Reading @ Kala Academy Black Box: Dan Driscoll will do public
reading of Roses With the Grass, a short story, with African Colonial theme,
by Violet Dias Lannoy. Violet was of Goan family, but spent most of her
professional life in Africa and Europe. She is now recognized as a 'major
Asian Writer', appearing on acadamic reading lists in many Universities. Her
novel Pears from the Willow Tree has an Indian setting, in the confused era
following the Quit Indian Movement and Indian Independence.
There will be a Press Briefing at Kala Academy 19th April at 11:00 A.M. at
which a 20 picture slideshow will be presented.
The Reading itself is scheduled for Black Box, April 23rd at 6:00 P.M.
