I do not think relating Telephones to Toilets is absurd. It reflects where our priorities lie. In India perhaps the phone is a status symbol and therefore if one has a phone, it is a matter of prestige but before one commits to the phone, one must think of one's cleanliness and this is a field in India which is totally lacking. We seem to think that the world is a toilet and this attitude must change. Building more public toilets in urban areas which are properly maintained would be a start. After all it is said that cleanliness is next to godliness isn't it?
