Dear Alfred, Thank you for championing the Mining Petition. There have been problems with the website but I am truly gutted by the harsh reality of your experiences. The problem as far as I can ascertain are:
The site hosting the petition was moved to a different server on 12-13 April and all signatures were lost. When a supporter entered details of name, country and email, a message was sent to the supporter asking for confirmation. Some mail systems, notoriously hotmail and yahoo, treat all auto-generated mail as spam and places these in a separate folder. There have been other teething problems. I will ask all those whose names do not appear at http://goanvoice.org.uk/miningpetition.php to please try one final time. If it does not work, send the details to me and I will ensure that they are entered. Once again thank you! Abraços Carmita
