There should not be any doubt in any Goan's mind that the only way that we can
alter the course of history is through the ballot box. If elections are not
contested, we cede the authority we have of questioning and indeed of altering
the current course that is set by the current Government. We will have given
them an open mandate to carry on their destructive course unimpeded. We must
therefore turn out one and all to register as voters and on election day, turn
out in full force to elect the right people to parliament. People who have the
welfare of Goa and Goans at heart. Selfless people who are not interested in
enriching themselves at the expense of Goa and its people. It would even be
prudent to register a new political party which will field candidates known to
be of exceptional character and honesty. Not contesting the elections can also
mean that we have surrendered without a fight. We should never surrender our
rights to elect a fair just and honest government.

The power is in our hands. Let us use it wisely and we will be the winners in
the end. Let us show the current scoundrels that we are not cowards. We may be
meek and humble but we are truly full of valor and ready to fight for our
rights. We need to fight for our rights to a just, honest, trust worthy and
representative government who are truly the representatives of the people and
who hold the well being and prosperity of Goa and Goans at heart. I appeal to
all Goans not to boycott the elections but make a consorted effort to ensure
that we elect a truly Goan Government true to our values of honesty, justice
and fairness.
