You, know, as a Goan, having lived in Goa during the 70's, I had never heard the expression " liberation of Goa", used by the locals. SO, I must question as to when an how and why and which party coined this phrase. I do not think that many south goans looks at the Portuguese departure as the "liberation"; rather, many goans have expressed a loss of the portuguese link and have said that the portuguese did not want a fight, that they were caught off gurard,... and so on. Therefore, give me your feedback and your response to many south goans denial of the "liberation". not to say we are anti-indian, but the portugesue were not that bad an influence on our lifestyle, now, were they?. anthony fernandes.
