Methinks, we Goans have put the cart before the horse. We first need to save ourselves! But, from whom? The Roman Catholic Church, Christianity! What is it, anyway, this thing aka Christianity? Lovely beaches, gold ischeap so you can wear the gangster luk for cheap. Goa is not a destination foremployment like the metros of India. It is basically a tourist destinationand the government should do all it can to save the natural environment ofGoa. It should develop policies to safeguard the interest of Goans in theemployment sector by reserving 90 per cent quota for Goans before issuingpermission for industries, hotels etc. Are any of our Goan leaderslistening? More importantly, will they take the necessary action to saveGoa?
