I think we should salute her! I have mentioned in the past, the King Fisher Mallya speaks the language and often. Having grown up in non-Konkani speaking parts of the desh like Bihar and Bangalore, one admires him for not forgetting his mother tongue. And shame on the Goan lot who are ashamed of their mother-tongue (I have close relatives, who live in Goa, whose children don't speak a word..of Concani....what a shame). I shudder to think the kind of dysfunctional persons they will grow up to be, incomplete and shallow (my prediction).
Wondering if any of the GoaNetters in Portugal know who the Concani broadcasting staff of the Portuguese National Radio were....what happened to them etc. I think the broadcasts continued till the late 70s.
