The problem with us Goans is collectively we are an immature race of people, who are incapable of any discernment in our judgement. While we are easily swayed by jingoistic rhetoric and while we love to wade in the muck of gossip, innuendo and generally putting other people down, we are seldom seen being truly supportive of people who put themselves on the line, who are devoting themselves to doing something for Goa and who are investing of their time and energy to change the dynamics in Goa. When these people are attacked, our Goans either keep quiet or whisper from the sidelines, "they deserved it" (My Konkani spelling being what it is, I don't know how to write it) and then start a few more rumours themselves. They love to slander others. Sheesh! It's disgusting!! With an attitude like this, Goa will never change and truly we should be ashamed of ourselves. Best, selma
