My Dear Tony, In Mario Govea's words, you have got your "kashti" into a tangle, take a deep breath and exhale slowly, do this a couple of time, it helps blood circulation to the brain, anger sometimes clouds our perceptions. First and foremost you have just jumped the gun, Godfrey is not a Goan, he is an East Indian from Bombay settled overseas, like the whole wide world he too f**king likes to come down to Goa and over the years he has witnessed the abject transformation, and was appalled by it and hence the rhetoric's as you call it. Is he wrong in his summation ? I don't think so, truth always hurts but even when it hurts, we can react to it in three ways, first, castrate the messenger even though what he says is true, second feel hurt and stay dormant, or third, react positively to the challenge. I too felt hurt by his insinuations and his degrading language but then reasons overwhelmed emotions, though his language is harsh, he is right, he has indeed jolted many a Goan hearts, and invited some wrath onto himself. If we don't like what he says, we can do nothing about it, the only thing we can say is, if you don't like what Goa is at the moment, then piss off, your are f**king not welcome to Goa, but will that change the tragedy that's befallen Goa ? I am sure you will have a lot of hornets targeting you for your "rhetoric" against overseas Goans, you have said some f**king overseas Goans but still it's a widely generalized assumption. You may not be aware, there are overseas Goans, who are much more involved, morally, financially and even physically when ever possible, than some of the Goans in Goa and are part of the action to fight against what ails Goa. In this case too there are two types of workers, first type who like to be in the news and in the forefront just for the show but there are others who work from the shadows who are contributing equally if not more to the Goan cause and I can assure you that there are a good number of these among overseas Goans, though there may be a few who you mentioned, and if you know of such then it is only right to expose them so that all are aware of it. If you have the proof, state it, if not rein in your horses and the rhetoric's.
