Besides these tips, Soter should remember that the Money, which otherwise would not be there, spent by the Tarvotsi and Gulfies, benefitted the Economy of Goa. The Tarvotis and Gulfies built houses employing people from Architects, Carpenters, Stone Masons, Glaziers, and many others. These people in turn spent the money which they got for their services to educate their children, and feed and clothe their families. Economic activity is a chain reaction spurred on by the action of one who first spends the hard earned dollar which produces a multi faceted reaction in a market. Without that dollar earned and spent by the Tarvotis and Gulfies Goa's economy would be in a sad state .
