I have been writing letters and articles to the Press for well nigh over
20 years.There has been a great change with the advent of the local TV
channels and each English newspapers follows certain norms to
censor/suppress public feedback/views.They even change the heading to
emphasise what is insignificant to cover the main thrust of the letter!
Most criticism of government administration is diluted! No doubt they
have to be on the good books of the government and industrialists to
increase their bread and butter.And they get computers, free
bees,lunches,perks etc.But there are no free lunches and when scribes
and Editors sell their souls for 30 pieces of silver to help crucify the
land and its citizens,they are a disgrace to their profession..
There is no investigative reporting in Goa worth the name! All the
Estates, Executive,Legislative,Judiciary(a bit of saving grace),Media
ARE TAINTED! Massive public outcry hopefully without resulting Maoists
tendencies will be the immediate answer..Sadly the citizen is forced to
getting tainted in order to survive!
