Could Nadia's widower be cutting a deal with the cops? 2010-06-11 Winston Barreto knew he was going to be questioned, because even though divorce proceedings were on, his marriage had not completed the mandatory seven years. If a wife dies or commits suicide before seven years of marriage, the husband is investigated. Barreto applied for anticipatory bail, but now inexplicably he has withdrawn his plea. He showed up at the Crime Branch and sat down for five hours of questioning. Barreto would be in a position to throw a great deal of light on the case since he says, his estranged wife was still in touch with him and seemed highly disturbed just before her suicide attempt. Added to that, Barreto has already named Mickky Pacheco as the sole reason for the break up of his marriage. This was put down in words in his written statement to the divorce proceedings brought against him by Nadia Torrado. The divorce proceedings too, he concluded were instigated by Mickky Pacheco.
