Should we focus on the "legal at the time of purchase" argument? Or should the emphasis be on * Whether the laws are fair to all concerned? * Whether the laws in the past might have been inadequate to cope with the current land-speculation reality? * Whether politicians have passed the laws with fairness in mind, or some other vested interests? * How the current situation benefits and affects the resident and non-resident population, and whether some trade off in this regard is acceptable?
