Hi Selma,
I fully appreciate and agree with your comments on Eddie & George. Both have
contributed immensely and are giants in their own right. Today when we have
many Goans with crab mentality whose only contribution is criticism for the
sake of criticism, to have such lovely Goans like Eddie & George is a
blessing.
All of us have differences of opinion and misunderstandings which are normal
but petty differences should not come in the way of friendship. Even in the
best of relationships, there are fights between wife and husband, mother and
son/daughter, brother and sister yet this is only temporarily and the good
relationship continues. No point in having egos. Hopefully by now Eddie &
George, both mature and intelligent gentlemen have buried their hatchet. Goa
needs both of them. Today Goa has more important things to tackle and to
have people like them is a rarity and an honour to Goans. They make all
Goans proud and are a source of inspiration to us.

I narrowly missed meeting George the last time he was in London but I know well
of his work. Eddie I know very well, and it amazes me the amount of energy,
courage and conviction he has in the things he does and?the way he maneuvers
paupers and princes alike to get things done. Very often we think to ourselves,
how can I make a difference to the Goan community. Well Eddie should be an
inspiration to us all.
This bickering doesn't do anyone any good. Let us move forward in solidarity
rather than disperse with disagreement. Lord knows there are so few Goan heroes
that we can actually look up to as role models. You two are an inspiration,
please don't take that away from us.
