RADIO MIRCHI 98.3FM PRESENTS `INTER-SCHOOL ELOCUTION COMPETITION’ FOR ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS, JULY 1-7

Goa’s Number 1 Radio Station, Radio Mirch 98.3FM will commemorate World Environment Day with an All Goa Inter-School Elocution Competition for environmental awareness consisting of On-Air and On Ground multi-city activities across Panjim, Margao, Vasco, and Mapusa from July 1-7.

`Students of today, Leaders of tomorrow’ believes Goa’s No 1 Radio Station, Radio Mirchi 98.3FM by bringing together Goan students from across Panjim, Mapusa, Vasco and Margao to commemorate World Environment Day, the Mirchi way, with an `Inter-School Elocution Competition,’ held from July 1-7.

Conceptualized by Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, the All Goa Inter-School Elocution Competition has been innovatively packaged with on-air and on-ground activities to involve mass school participation from across Goa. Interesting highlights of the on-air campaign includes bytes of students pledging towards city building, besides on-ground elocution competitions across Panjim, Vasco, Margao and Mapusa.

Defining the Elocution competition into Senior Category (8th-10th Std) and Junior Category (5th-7th Std), in English or Konkani, topics of the competition are:

Ethel Da Costa, Station Head, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Panjim, states, “Our students of today are the leaders of tomorrow, if we endeavour to lead by example. There is a need for schools as much as local citizens to ensure that we look at our children as the rightful caretakers of our environment, by ensuring that we hand over a safe planet to them. On ground competitions will be held from July 2 at St Britto’s High School, Mapusa; July 3 at La Paz Gardens, Vasco, July 5 at the Black Box, Kala Academy, Panjim and July 6 at Big G, Margao from 3pm-6pm. Registrations will happen at the respective venues 3.00pm sharp. However, schools may also send their participation letters with names of participating students to the office of Radio Mirchi 98.3FM, above Times of India Bldg, Miramar, Panjim during work hours.
