BICHOLIM, JULY 10 Burglars broke into the Rawalnath Devasthan at Mulgao-Bicholim on Friday night and decamped with silver and gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 35,000. According to reports, the burglars entered the temple from the roof top and stole a silver crown, golden nose ring and money from the cash box. In the morning, the temple priest noticed the burglary and later reported it to the Bicholim police. The ornaments were valued at about Rs 35,000, while the exact cash in the cash box was not known. A police dog squad was later pressed into service but the dogs failed to sniff a trail of the culprits. Bicholim PSI Ditendra Naik is investigating the case.
