I fully believe in Floriano Lobo. Floriano has been a pretty straightforward person and is a sincere and committed activist cum politician who has never hesitated to call a spade a spade. Perhaps that is the reason why such concocted charges are being made against him, which in any case do not hold much water. I heard Floriano first during the 'Miramar Beach Privatization' Panel Discussion organized by the Rotary Club of Panaji. He was among the few speakers there who publicly showed the spine to accuse the Government of massive corruption in the 'Beach Privatization Project' and later dared Rina Ray (who was representing the Government there) to sue him if she could. If the Parrikar Government later shelved the plans to privatize the Beach, one would need to thank Floriano and the other activists/ citizens who had gathered there, who - with their relentless campaign - saved the beach from going the Baga/Calangute way. Since those days, I have seen Floriano participate in countless agitations, file several Public Interest Litigations and win battles in the Court of Law- all for Public causes. It takes a lot of selfless service, zeal, courage and patience to do that. It is highly disappointing to read such childish allegations being made against him here on Goanet. Maybe it has a lot to do with the anti-BJP postures he has taken on some issues but indulging in such baseless personalized campaigns against him because of ideological differences is certainly uncalled for. Cheers, Sandeep Dear Sandeep, You have made following allegations against me as I was the one who pointed to what I consider to be irregularities in funds collected for a party that it's leader claims to be whiter than white. 1) You suggest that the allegations are childish 2)You suggest that they are politically motivated 3)You suggest that I am indulging in baseless personalised campaign 4)You suggest that the charges against Floriano are concocted. I would like to politely ask you for a clear explanation in support of your completely baseless and un-called for allegations against me. I have also sent a CC to your private e-mail address so that you definitely get to read this. If you cannot support your allegations, I request you to withdraw these with an apology on Goanet within a reasonable time. I consider these to be defamatory and libellous allegations and I take them very seriously. You may consider this as a written notice. Un-biassed Goanetters will of course take note of the fact that you have not written a word about the filth and hatred that was demonstrated in the posts that came from some one whom you so obviously admire.
