Last night, I got whacked by a former teacher/prof at Mater Dei. The issue was simply that I had sent him the "Liberating nuns of India" post. The whack made no sense. Besides, I also did not know that he had taught there, as he presumed was the reason I sent him the post. His main point was that--it was very (4 VERYs, all in UC) interesting, and that he was just not interested (all in Upper case); followed by period ( . ). the punctuation also spelt out in brackets as (PERIOD). And I though he was a man of culture. I hope the nuncios at least are!!
I had prefaced the forward to him as follows: Dear Fr. ............ Something for you. venantius ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I presume, it was the "something" in 'Something for you.' that caused new furrows in his gray matter. Or some sublimated memories sprang up. Or could it remotely be that my area of interest is a bit too broad for his liking--and who am I to even pass on something like that piece to him. Now here is the fair part. Other than Goanet. I hardly ever post jokes, etc to anyone. If at all, I make specific connections. I am always appreciative when I receive any post from him and others, however loopy they are. Besides my path, I accept what comes my way--just so I may aid people in practicing their Free will. Guess that too is a bit heavy. Anyway, more on Free will in another post. I sometimes wish I should have been a professor of Theology.
