The essence of Indian democracy ‘of the people, by the people, for the people’ is reduced to mockery. The less you talk about Indian democracy is better. From Goa’s prospective, the entire ruling and opposition political parties are not here to serve the people of Goa but to themselves or their High Command. Congress Party (Con man party) is now turned like a highway motel, anyone can visit any time as paying guest or for free but orgy (corruption) guaranteed 100 percent. BJP (big junk party) has no policies of its own and is in for a rat race (Mickey Mouse, Monster Rat and Sardines included) with congress for one-upmanship to win corruption race. NCP (national corruption party) famous for IPL and BCCI gate or say rather cricket shame.
In the last century (prior to year 2000) the political corruption was limited to empting government coffers but now it is unlimited (land, air and water included). Mining rights, construction rights, airport rights, and seaport rights you name it and everything is up for sale for a song. Years back people used to gamble with Ratan Khatri’s Matka now we gamble with our land. We will realize what we lost when we lose every thing and turn into beggars. Sadly by that time we will not even have ‘beggars home’ as beggars will far out number beggars homes.
