Mauricio Pereira asked which Minister is responsible for this suicide: "A HIV-infected woman committed suicide by jumping from the first floor of state-run hospital's on being told about the infection"
COMMENT: Based on the recent spoutings of Human Rights (ignoring) experts, I'd venture to say that the stated answer would be: Mickey Mouse. If one uses the logic and technique of certain High-Risk advogados, ALL Mickey Mouse has to do, is to prove that he was not involved with this woman. Merely stating that he (Mickey) is HIV negative is not proof that he was not involved with this woman. He needs to prove it. There are also some recent suicides in Bombay (OK ...Mumbai). Mickey needs to also prove that he was not the cause of those suicides. Otherwise ....more detention with or without chicken biriyani. As the Times of India (intriguingly but not surprisingly) reported on July 10, 2010 http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/goa/Mickky-remanded-to-a-weeks-police-custody/articleshow/6149966.cms 'Crime branch PI Sunita Sawant, who was present in the court, however, made sure that no one was allowed to have a word with the high profile PRISONER.' Really?! Is Mickey Mouse already a PRISONER? jc This post should not be construed to mean that IMO Mickey Mouse is Innocent. I do not know. I doubt anyone posting on Goanet knows for sure either. Let there be due process and let him have a fair trial. If he is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, send him to Fort Aguada for whatever term the courts finds fit for him. But until then, let's not rob anyone accused of their Human Rights. Today ....it is Mickey Mouse. Tomorrow .....it could be you or me that the High Risk chaps do not like, and may try the Trial by Media, if all else fails. In a few days+ time I will try post a few lines about the struggle that Tony Blair had in order to bring into effect (in the UK) the Human Rights Act 1998 .....and as background revisit the travesty of Innocent people who were put to death....(egged on by the same type of 'calls' of hate and for revenge that I have been reading wrt this case). So much for the alleged-democracies of this world which deny basic human rights of individuals in police custody (for questioning) and even kill their citizens courtesy the death penalty.
