More than 40 years ago there were Caju plantations along Campal,Miramar and 
Carazalem coast line. These plantations had a purpose ie.: to arrest any 
erosion. Then came these clever bharatis destroyed these cajus trees and 
planted 
the casaurinas. The worst offender in that area mentioned above was the Sharada 
Bandar school and Dhempe College, these two entities cleared vast areas of the
