I fully endorse Frederick's views on Goanet June stats - wherein he states
that quality is more important than quantity and adds that Maybe, there should
be a 2-3 person committee (not connected with the
Admin or others already involved in running the list, for obvious
reasons) who would select a post-of-the-week. This could push quality
upwards, instead of things ending up in a shouting match, as it sometimes does.

He rightly says, posts should be positive, informative and well thought out.
Posts which do not endless target another Goanetter.
Posts which make their point in a rather interesting way.
 Disagreements expressed without bitterness.
On-topic posts, rather than those which stray away.
 Non-repetitive posts.

We Goans should believe and understand that we all may have different
opinions and are free to express them. However these opinions should never be
forced on others and ridiculed. Often instead of unitedly fighting for a
common cause for the betterment of Goa i.e.fight against corrupt politicians,
builders, miners and vested interests etc. we seem to be wasting our time
taking on other Goans who have expressed a different opinion.

The result is that our opponents are laughing at us and taking advantage of
this. We should bear in mind that sincere Goans whether based in Goa, Mumbai,
Gulf and other parts of the world i.e. USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK,
France etc. all love Goa and no matter what differences we may have, we all are
united to save Goa from rape and destruction. We should be proud to be Goans
wherever we are.

I would like to add, that even though we may differ in our opinion, the
majority opinion or decision as in a democracy should be gracefully accepted.

If we can show we are united in a common cause only then would our opponents
realise our strength and think twice before taking us for granted, stop
plundering, raping and destroying our beloved Goa.

Thanks and keep up the good work.
