Former Goa tourism minister Fransisco Mickky Pacheco, accused in the death of his close friend Nadia Torrado, on Thursday moved the Bombay High Court bench here with his bail plea. Amit Palekar, lawyer representing Pacheco, said the application moved before the High Court, is likely to be heard on Friday. According to sources, the former minister has said that circumstances have changed from the time when his bail plea was rejected, as he is in police custody and regularly being interrogated. Pacheco is currently in police lock up in connection with the death of Nadia, who died after allegedly consuming poison on May 30 in Chennai. Earlier this week, the Sessions court in Margao had rejected the bail plea filed by Pacheco with the judge observing that there was no change in circumstances from the time Supreme Court had rejected his anticipatory bail plea. The 46-year old NCP legislator had surrendered before the court on July 3, after being in hiding for almost a month. The crime branch had arrested him on July 8, when he was discharged from hospital.
