Goa indeed has a lot to learn from Switzerland. The foremost lesson perhaps is that you should pollute someone else's land, while keeping your own near-spotless! Take the case of the Basel-headquartered plant that use to be called Ciba, now Novartis International AG. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciba_Geigy] Its record is well known. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciba_Geigy#Controversies_and_criticism] Outside Old Goa in Goa itself, many other issues have been covered and written about. For instance [http://toxicswatch.blogspot.com/2009/12/goa-villagers-actvists-against-syngenta.html] Indeed we have a lot to learn from the Swiss. We will praise their clean and green environment, while abusing brown-skinned people from closer home. It does help if a country stashes away mega-billions of slush funds of tinpot dictators and corrupt businessmen from across the globe, even while getting certificates on how clean and green they are! Of course, it pays if you can manage to buy land at 60 paisa per square metre (other figures say 25 paise per sq m.... 1960s rates, all in the "post-colonial" Goa where political battles were turned into communal hate, just as now the same is clothed in regional chauvinism)!
