I admire your work but let's give credit where it is due.

Personally, I loved the way the Indian government went about selecting the currency symbol for the country. I also loved the artistic value of it's meaning. I think it was a brilliant piece of art.

Had the goernment asked some chap in it's payroll to come up with one, you would have seen something really ugly. The competition really brought out the best.

The next thing the Indian government needs to do, is to drop one decimal position and re-price everything to reflect the change. That is every ten rupees should be reset to one rupee. Theoretically, it means the same, but perception will change. After all, they hardly mint any single paises these days.
