After the death of Ulhas Buyao, his only son Sidhanath Buyao, has stepped into his big boots quite effortlessly. Having inherited his father’s musical talent and having imbibed the love and passion for Konkani from his childhood, it was quite natural for Sidhanath to take over the reigns of Buyao Theatres Goem and he took to it life fish takes to water.

That he is the worthy successor of the legend Ulhas Buyao was established when Sidhanath Buyao was honoured by the Home Minister Ravi Naik at the grand Goa Police function for creating music for Goa Police Band for the first time since Goa’s liberation and had its own police force in 1961. Mandd Sobann has also appreciated Sidhanath Buyao’s albums. Sidhanath Buyao also bagged Best Music Composer Award 2009 given by Goa Tiatra Academy for his Album Valley of Colorz . The Goan Tableau at Republic Day Parade 2010 won 2nd Prize for which foot tapping Music was composed by Sidhanath Buyao .

Being proficient in different musical instruments, blessed with a mellifluous voice and having kept abreast of the technological advancement like computer software, sound technology, Sidhanath has a definite advantage while preparing his albums which are truly futuristic – rooted in the soil but soaring towards the universe! Without doubt, Sidhanath is poised to scale great heights as he has everything going for him and he is bound to be a shinning star given his passion for music. That he has carved out the right path for himself and Buyao Theatres Goem is clear from his body of work at the moment.

While continuing with the tradition of Buyao Theatres Goem of having stage shows, Sidhanath has also ventured into the new available avenues. He has created the music for many a jingle aired on the airwaves of various FM channels and also on television. The signature music for Margao Utsav Festival, Rangotsav, Hai Hai Lokshai for Prudent Media was prepared by Sidhanath.

Sidhanath Buyao has also produced music for Konkani movies like Jaagor by Damu Naik (MLA Fatorda) Zhuzari by Suhas Sawardekar, Prince Jacob’s Rodonaka, besides providing the background music for Shakshi, Rodonaka, Moneak Zaap Suttli .
