*Teacher forced to wear burqa!*

*I had posted an article on how a teacher in West Bengal refused to
followthe instructions from the students union forcing the teacher to wear
aburqa. I regret to say that the comments of both Joao Barros-Pereira
andFredrick Noronha are way off the topic and smells religious hatred.*

*Joao asks: Against whom? I would be more concerned about your nose as it is
leading you in the wrong direction, and should be checked up asap. As
someone who also teaches at a university it is easy for me to feel the
teacher's pain. You need not worry, thank you. Best wishes, Joao*

*It doesgive an impression (and I hope I am wrong) that the plight of the
teacher isbeing trivialized. It is sad that the college authorities, as well
as theWest Bengal government, have not stood up to the rights of the
teacher, norfound any answer to the grave issue involved. *
