In the 60's and 70's Goan players were chosen to play in international events.
In that period the standard of football in this region and the far east was
competitive. I remember many Goan players visiting the Soviet Union, Zambia or
playing in the Merdeka cup (indonesia). I thought I would name my 11 best:

GK - Bramananda Sancoalcar, (Salgaocar SC)
LB - Socrates Carvalho, (Dempo SC)
CB- Henry Brito (Salgoacar SC)
CB - Nicolas Pereira (Dempo SC)
RB - Socorro Coutinho (Dempo SC)
MF- Bernardo Pereira (Vasco SC)
MF- Ramesh Redkar (Dempo SC)
MF- Jimmy Machado (Dempo SC)
MF - Armando Colaco (Dempo SC)
F- Visitacao Lobo (Sesa SC)
F- Albino Fernandes (Sesa SC)

There were scores of other good players during the above period. But I think
the
players named were outstanding. E&O and fireworks Expected.
